On behalf of the entire greater New Orleans community, we would like to give special thanks to Marla Lovinggood - wife and office manager of Dr Thomas Lovinggood of Olathe, KS - who is in town with fellow members of her church, working on housing projects to repair Katrina damage.
It’s hard to believe, but many portions of the New Orleans still haven’t fully recovered from Katrina. The areas in which Marla is working are high in crime and poverty stricken. Adding insult to injury, many people in these areas also were victims of scam contract labor where contractors stole money from unsuspecting homeowners and builders.
Marla is in charge of the coordination of these projects, and her group spent much of the past week delivering tools and preparing bag lunches to those in need. They even spent some time tuning pianos at local churches. Please see the pictures accompanying this post.
Thank you to Marla and all those who are helping to rebuild the Gulf Region.
And thank you to all members of the OrthoSynetics team who give of their time and money to serve the community. Here at OrthoSynetics, we have formed a new Community Relations committee, designed to help local organizations and community activities in need. If you are interested in finding out more about the committee, please email Angela Weber at aweber@orthosynetics.com
