OSI Supports Camp Friendship

Thank you to all members of the OrthoSynetics team who support our efforts to help the Spina Bifida Association of Greater New Orleans' Camp Friendship.

Thanks to your generosity, we received $250 in monetary donations, which OSI matched. This allowed us to purchase most of the items that Camp Friendship needed for its entire weeklong camp.

Rajeev's Idea: Use energy efficient lighting at the home and office. It costs more to purchase but draws less than 50% of the power of conventional lighting.

Lauren Maia joins OrthoSynetics as marketing coordinator

Please join me in welcoming Lauren Maia as our new marketing coordinator.

Lauren is a strong addition to our growing marketing team. Her wealth of experience makes her a perfect fit to help our doctors achieve results-driven marketing and continue to grow their practices."

She joins us from Peter A. Meyer Advertising Inc., where she served as Jr. Account Executive. There she was part of a team that managed a $12 million advertising budget for the Louisiana Office of Tourism. She also planned events for the Lieutenant Governor and the Department of Culture, Recreation, and Tourism. Prior to that, she oversaw marketing and advertising efforts for LAS Enterprises, based in Metairie.

Lauren is a graduate of Loyola University with a degree in Communication and a minor in Marketing.

We continue to bolster our marketing team as we constantly strive to strengthen the services we provide to each and every one of our practices. For our doctors, driving new starts is the name of the game � and we have positioned our full suite of marketing services to do just that.

Four Corners Orthodontics Has New Location; Added Hygiene Department

FARMINGTON, NM � Dr. David Herman, of Four Corners Orthodontics, has opened a new location at 3751 N. Butler Avenue in Farmington. A grand opening celebration will be held on June 23, 2008 from 5-8pm.

"I have really enjoyed providing leading-edge orthodontic treatment techniques to serve the Four Corners area for the past 16 years," said David Herman. "This new location means patients will enjoy even quicker service, with state-of-the-art equipment, and more space for their comfort."

Dr. Herman's practice serves approximately nine hundred new patients each year. More than fifty percent of his current patients drive two hours or more to be treated in the Four Corners Orthodontics office which is a testament to the excellent service his patients receive. Dr. Herman also offers treatment conveniences to encourage long distance travelers. DAMON� braces or Invisalign� Aligners can be placed or started the same day as the new patient exam, through advanced technologies Dr. Herman is able to extend appointments to every 8-12 weeks, and now with the added hygiene department you can have your teeth cleaned the same day as your orthodontic adjustment.

"Our brand new facility provides a larger space for us to see our patients and the opportunity to improve the efficiency of our appointment scheduling," said Dr. Herman. Day has combined training as a dental hygienist and as an orthodontic treatment coordinator.

These two systems provide patients greater comfort and quality results, usually without removing teeth. These two systems also usually give patients beautiful smiles with less time in treatment than traditional braces. She joins us from Keating Magee Advertising in New Orleans where she was an account executive working on several award winning accounts. Prior to that, she worked as a public relations coordinator at Ellie Rand Public Relations. She also worked as a Public Relations and Events Coordinator at the Lionel Milton Art Gallery in New Orleans. She is a graduate from Loyola University New Orleans with a degree in communications, a specialization in public relations and a minor in marketing.

We are very pleased that Katherine is joining our team. She is a talented marketing professional from the New Orleans community and will help us market the services of our doctors.

Supporting Camp Friendship

Please join OrthoSynetics in supporting The Spina Bifida Association of Greater New Orleans' Camp Friendship. Camp Friendship is a week-long summer camp for children born with Spina Bifida in the New Orleans area. Help make this year's camp a success by donating some needed items for the campers and staff. Please see the attached flyer for a list of suggested donations.

Items can be brought to the Marketing Department Monday, June 16 through Friday, June 20. Monetary donations will also be accepted and OSI representatives will purchase additional supplies with the funds.

"According to Hewitt Associates, more than half of eligible employees between the ages of 20 and 29 take a pass on enrolling in 401(k) plans, and nearly a third of thirty-something workers haven't bothered to sign up."
